Ingredients

can (540 mL) black beans, drained and rinsed

pkg Hamburger HelperTM Chili Macaroni

tbsp (30 mL) vegetable oil

medium sweet potato (about 3/4 lb/375 g), peeled and diced (1/2-inch/1 cm pieces)

cups (875 mL) hot water
1/4
cup (50 mL) barbecue sauce

green onions, sliced

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in large skillet set over medium heat; cook black beans and sweet potatoes for about 5 minutes or until sweet potatoes start to soften.
  2. Stir in hot water, barbecue sauce and sauce mix and pasta (from Hamburger HelperTM pkg); bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  4. Divide among bowls; sprinkle with green onions.
