Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Skillet

This easy skillet supper has all the delicious flavours of a Hawaiian pizza.

Ingredients

lb (500 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

pkg Hamburger HelperTM Salisbury

strips bacon, diced

red pepper, diced

cups (675 mL) hot water

cup (125 mL) milk
1/4
cup (50 mL) barbecue sauce
1/3
cup (75 mL) diced pineapple (1/2-inch/1 cm pieces)

tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped green onion

Preparation

  1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat; cook bacon for 5 to 6 minutes or until crisp. Remove from skillet; drain on paper towel–lined plate.
  2. Add chicken and red pepper to skillet; cook for about 5 minutes or until chicken is browned.
  3. Stir in hot water, milk, barbecue sauce, and sauce mix and uncooked pasta (from Hamburger HelperTM pkg); bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in pineapple. Sprinkle with reserved bacon and green onion.
