Cajun Noodle Chicken Skillet

Ingredients

tbsp (15 mL) olive oil

tbsp (15 mL) butter

lb (500 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced

tbsp (15 mL) Cajun seasoning
1
onion, chopped
2
ribs celery, chopped
1
red pepper, chopped
2
cups (500 mL) hot water
2 ½
cups (625 mL) milk
1
pkg Tuna HelperTM Creamy Noodle
2
tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped parsley

Lemon wedges, for serving

Preparation

  1. Heat oil and butter in large skillet set over medium heat. Cook chicken and Cajun seasoning for 5 minutes or until chicken starts to brown. Stir in onion, celery and pepper. Cook 3 to 4 more minutes or until vegetables start to soften.
  2. Stir in water, milk, sauce mix and uncooked pasta (from Hamburger HelperTM box). Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  4. Remove from heat. Let stand, covered, for about 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken. Sprinkle with parsley before serving. Serve with lemon wedges.
