Bacon and Cabbage Three Cheese Macaroni

Ingredients

cup (125 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese

pkg Hamburger HelperTM Cheeseburger Macaroni

slices bacon, chopped

cups (500 mL) shredded cabbage
1
small onion, finely chopped

cups (500 mL) milk
1 1/3
cups (325 mL) hot water
1/4
cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
1/3
cup (75 mL) finely crumbled feta cheese (optional)

tbsp (30 mL) chopped fresh chives

Preparation

  1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat; cook bacon for 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp. Using slotted spoon, transfer to plate. Reduce heat to medium; in same skillet, cook cabbage and onion for 8 to 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Return bacon to skillet.
  2. Stir in milk, hot water, and sauce mix and uncooked pasta (from Hamburger HelperTM pkg); bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 12 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in Cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle feta and chives over top.
